  • How do you describe Windsor Oak's Community?​

    Windsor Oaks is a non-profit corporation that is owned and operated by its members. Each member purchases a share and contributes to the maintenance and management of the grounds, housing, and common areas in a non-profit environment.  It is living with neighbors in a jointly owned community with all the benefits of home ownership, with non of the maintenance and upkeep.

  • Are there any restrictions or requirements for buying a membership at Windsor Oaks?

    One must be 55 or older, financially qualified and able to live independently or with the help of a caregiver or other agency.

  • What are the costs of buying into the Windsor Oaks corporation?

    The Share Purchase is an affordable one-time payment that purchases a membership share in the community. The value of your share is primarily based on the size of the home and current market value.

    The Monthly Fee you pay is determined by the size of your apartment. The fee includes interior and exterior maintenance, lawn and landscaping care, snow removal, water, trash removal, fire and liability insurance for the property, member services staff, replacement and operating reserves, the master mortgage, appliance and HVACC replacement as needed, and miscellaneous operating expenses.

  • What kind of in home service and maintenance are provided by the staff at Windsor Oaks?

    Maintenance staff takes care of trash pick up, at your door, light bulb replacement in all overhead fixtures, furnace and a/c maintenance, handy man assistance, appliance repair/replace, home/mail checks when you are away, bathroom and kitchen plumbing needs, and more.

  • How do I sell my share in the corporation?

    When you want to sell your share, you notify the Managing Director, who facilitates the resale process. There are no complicated real estate sales processes, transactions or commissions involved.

  • Are pets permitted at Windsor Oaks?

    Yes, pets are accepted.

  • Is there an active social calendar at Windsor Oaks?

    Our members share their talents and experiences for the enjoyment and enrichment of the community. Residents contribute through gardening, woodworking, music, arts and the library. Residents lead and participate in exercise classes, games, cards, socials, programs, pool tournaments and excursions in the community. There is something for everyone in this community.

  • Does everyone have a garage and storage unit?

    Each apartment has a heated garage with a remote garage door opener and a storage closet in the garage.

  • Does Windsor Oaks have areas to host parties, club groups, and family gatherings?

    Windsor Oaks has a club house, kitchen, and lower level for entertaining. The guest room is available, for a modest fee, for overnight guests. It has two Queen size beds.

  • What kind of safety features are provided?

    Windsor Oaks has restricted 24-hour keyed access. There is a keypad entry at both the East and North entrances to allow residents to admit their own guests.

    Each apartment has a call light chain in the bedroom and bath room, when pulled, access 911 directly. Resident Responders are available for emergency need when staff are not available.
